This morning Mike took me up to the airport.  It is once again time to spend a week at the office.  :)  The flight was uneventful!  The kind I like.

Pecan Festival & Tony's Engagement

Saturday, November 12, 2016 – Amado, AZ

This morning Tony called us to let us know that he was planning to ask Miranda to marry him.  They went to Silver Beach in St. Joseph, MI where they had their first date.  This is where he proposed to her and she said “Yes!”  :)  We are very happy for both of them.  :)

This afternoon Mike and I went to Sahuarita to the Pecan Festival.  When we first got there they had all of these old cars.  This gentleman was trying to start this tractor.  He never did get it started, but I was hoping he would.

It is a pretty cool tractor.

There were many more old vehicles.

 There was even a couple of antique RV's.  :)

According to the sign this old vehicle was found in the desert and it runs.

We had a nice time and of course tried some pecan pie!  

On our way out Mike wanted a picture of this motorcycle to send to Ray.  :)

Drive to Arivaca

Sunday, November 6, 2016 - Amado, AZ

After Mass today we decided to drive up to Arivaca, AZ just to check it out.  We heard there are some nice ATV trails up there.  :)  The roads on the way up to Arivaca were all paved roads.

And the views were pretty nice also.

We finally made it to Arivaca.  It is a very small town out in the middle of no where.

We continued on down the road and headed toward Arivaca Lake.  These roads were dirt roads.

Maybe not the best idea in a 2 wheel drive car.  We made it to the lake, which was very beautiful.

We continued on down the road and came across Ruby, AZ a National Historical Site.

The scenery was awesome.

Eventually we made it back home.

It was another wonderful day!

New Bed!

Wednesday, November 2, 2016 - Amado, AZ

Our new mattress arrived today!  We bought a new cover for the bed also.  It looks great!

We did end up buying a queen size mattress.  This will give us approximately 4" on both side.  I will be able to get into my closet easier once we get the frame cut down.  Someday!  :)

Happy Halloween!

Our Sleep Number mattress has been losing air every night and getting very uncomfortable, so today we decided to go up to Tucson to buy a new mattress!  All I have to say is that Mattress Firm must pay a fortune for store fronts.  At the same intersection that the Sleep Number Store was at, there was a Mattress Firm Store on every corner.  Not sure I understand why.  :)

The new mattress should be arriving later this week!
