Happy 37th Anniversary!

On our morning walk this morning I decided to take some pictures of the flowers we have been seeing along our route.

For lunch today we walked over to Pier M33.  It was a wonderful lunch!

Boat Ride

Tuesday, August 20, 2019 - Cheboygan, MI

Today was another beautiful day to go out on Mullet Lake.

We parked at the shallow part and let Gracie go for a swim.  :)

After swimming we went for a boat ride, but Gracie was ready for a nap.

But the ride was very relaxing and the water was great!

It was another wonderful day!

For some reason when I was going out of the trailer this afternoon and fell and really hurt my knee and shin.

It was still another wonderful day!

Lighthouses

Sunday, August 18, 2019 - Cheboygan, MI

It was a little windy to be out on the lake, so we decided to go check out a couple of lighthouses in Cheboygan on the shores of Lake Huron. Our first stop was at Old Mackinac Point.

They had a small museum downstairs.  This is the one of the lights that was in this lighthouse, but was replaced in 1913.

After going through the downstairs we made our way up to the lighthouse.

It was a beautiful view and the lake looked very calm.  Here is a picture of the lighthouse from the ground.

Next we went over to McGulpin Point Lighthouse

And went up into the lighthouse and got some great pictures.  We could see why it was not visible from all directions.

After seeing the grounds of the lighthouse we went on a short trail they had down to the water.  Along the path they had signs telling of the life of the family that worked and lived here.  More than one of the figurines startled me.  :)

We finally made it to the shore and saw the rock we read about.  Something about the Indians using it to tell the depths of the lake.

After a couple of hours sight seeing we went to dinner at Darrow's Family Restaurant.  And we would highly recommend it if you are ever in the area.

Boat ride

Saturday, August 17, 2019 - Cheboygan, MI

Today we decided we would take a boat ride over to Burt Lake.  We drove down Mullet Lake to Indian River.  When we got to the mouth of the river I took a picture looking back toward Mullet Lake, but you can't really see the lake.

On the next couple of pictures I tried to show how much boat traffic there was on the river, but it doesn't really show that.

We finally made it out to Burt Lake.  It is a lot bigger than I remember it.  :)

Of course I wanted to get a couple of pictures of the state park.  We camped there when I was little.

On the way back we stopped at The Inn Between on the Indian River for some lunch, which was very nice.

While we driving across Mullet Lake I sat down on Mike's lap and took a couple of selfies of us.  I don't think they turned out too bad.  :)

Then we drove by the sand bar swimming spot and took a couple of pictures of all of the boats.

It was another wonderful day!
