Mt. Lemmon

Saturday, August 26, 2017 - Amado, AZ

During the local news this week they stated that the wild flowers would be in full bloom, so this morning we got up and headed for Mount Lemmon.  I did check out the trails on Mt. Lemmon last night.  We decided to go on the Meadow Trail.

The drive up the mountain was beautiful.

We eventually made it to the top and had a picnic lunch.
After lunch we headed out on the Meadow trail.  And I got lots of pictures of beautiful flowers.

About half way through the trail we saw this sign.
The sights on the second half of the trail were just as awesome.  There were several hoodoos visible.

Just before we got back to the parking lot we walked up to the entrance to the Steward Observatory.  It was not open, but I took pictures of it any way.  :)

We drove down the road and came up to parking area and a stream and Gracie decided it was time for some fun in the water. :)

On the way back down I took more pictures of the views.  :)  Even a picture of someone on top of a hoodoo.

And we stopped by another parking area and walked around.

The sunset was beautiful!  Even through bugs on the windshield.  :)

It was another wonderful day!
