Sunday, December 8, 2019 - Waco, TX
Today we were going to try to get in as many museums as we could. There are several in Waco. Our first stop was The Texas Ranger Museum.
I think the thing that both Mike and I were surprised to learn was the Texas Rangers did not always have a good reputation. They had a very tough life on the frontier. The Museum showed the life and times of several individual Rangers as well as the history of the Texas Rangers in general. It was a very good museum and absolutely worthwhile.
Next we went to the Dr. Pepper Museum.
We were surprised to learn that Dr. Pepper was founded in Waco. Big Red, the original red cream soda, was also founded here. This was also a very informative and interesting museum. We had to hustle through the last part of the museum since it was getting close to closing time. :)
On our way home I a took a picture of the Silos all lit up.
It was another wonderful day!
