Saturday, April 1, 2017 - Silverdale, WA
The original plan was to be up and moving early enough for the boys to take skating lessons this morning, but none of us got moving in time. We did make it just in time for the 10:30am open skate.
Right as we were getting ready to go out on the rink Ami fell and hit her face. She was not really interested in skating anymore. We did get her out on the rink for a little bit. The boys are doing a great job.
Eventually Ami was done skate, so it was time to get one of the strollers out. This made her happy.
Next it was Alex's turn to take a hard fall.
But it was Avander that took a turn in the stroller.
They have a race that you go as fast as you can until you come to the start line. Then you crouch down and coast as far as you can without falling. Alex gave it try. He did a pretty good job.
After the race Papa got Ami to go back out on the rink.
Everybody had a good time.
This afternoon we had cake and ice cream. Mike J worked very hard on the cake.
But before eating we had to sing "Happy Birthday".
It is a rainbow cake and it turned out awesome.
Now it was time to open the presents.
Then the best part of the getting presents and that is playing with the toys.
It was another wonderful day!

Travel to Seattle
Friday, March 31, 2017 - Silverdale, WA
Eventually we came back in and Papa decided to take a nap and Ami laid down next to him.
It was another wonderful day!
This morning we were up early to fly to Seattle. The grandkids are on spring break next week and
Monday is Alex’s birthday, so we decided it would be a good time to go. It was a nice flight and I saw these
beautiful snow capped mountains on the way.
Jess, Avander, and Ami picked us up at the airport. When we got to Jess's Papa was hiding a plastic ball under his shirt and pretended to
throw, but Ami caught on to that real quick.
So she decided to put the balls in her shirt also. :)
It turned out to be a beautiful day, so we went outside to
play for a little while. Avander was
playing with the Frisbee while Ami was playing with bubbles.
Eventually we came back in and Papa decided to take a nap and Ami laid down next to him.

Wisdoms
Tuesday, March 28, 2017 - Amado, AZ
It was another wonderful day!
Tuesday night is 2 for 1 margarita night at Wisdom’s. Mike and I have never been there before, but we had heard a lot of good things about them, so we wanted to go. A lot of people in the park will be leaving
in the next week or so, so we all decided tonight would be a good night for all
of us to go to Wisdom’s for dinner.
There ended up being 2 big tables from De Anza RV park. I only took pictures of the crew that was
sitting at the same table as Mike and I.
Safe travels to everyone and looking forward to seeing you
again next year.
It was another wonderful day!

Tumacacori National Historical Park
Sunday, March 26, 2017 - Amado, AZ
The Tumacacori National Historical Park is the ruins of three Spanish Mission communities.
It was really cool. We did go on a guided tour. Our guide was very good. These are pictures of the garden area right outside the visitor center.
These are a couple of buildings on the grounds. The tall build with the white dome is the church.
Then we went inside the church. I am sure it was beautiful inside back in the day.
They do occasionally have weddings and twice a year they have church services here.
This is the cemetery area. I forget the what the round building was, but it was the area that they used to prepare the bodies for burial.
This is the surplus building.
This was the school room.
Here are some of the beautiful flowers that are blooming this spring.
After touring the grounds we went to the De Anza trail that is at the back of the park. We only walked about .5 miles of the trail.
When we got back we sat down with Barb, Bobbie, Russ and Roger for some adult beverages. :)
