Saturday, November 9, 2019 - Clarksville, TN
When looking for places to stay, I read a little bit about the Trail of Tears and found this park, so we went to see it. There wasn't anyone in the visitor center, but we walked around to see the sights.
After walking around the park for a little while we headed for the Woody Winfree Fire Transportation Museum. It was about the history of the fire station there in Hopkinsville. It was a great little museum and the lady that worked there was very informative.
Next we went to Dunbar Cave State Park.
We were not able to go into the cave due to the bats hibernating. The history of the park was very interesting. The area below used to a place where bands would play and people would come to dance. This was before it was a park.
Then we went on one of the trails and saw this deer.
It was a very nice trail.
It was another wonderful day!

Halloween Party
Saturday, November 2, 2019 - Indianapolis, IN
We were up early this morning and made the 5+ hour drive up to Indianapolis. Once we arrived Mike dropped me off at Pro Soto so I could get my make up done for the Halloween Party tonight.
Sue got her's done first and it turned pretty good.
I was next, but I did not get any pictures of myself. Next was Patsy and she really looks scary. :)
When Patsy and I got back to Patsy's house, Mike took a picture of us.
Then when we got to George's to our surprise mom had a witch's hat on also, so we got a picture with her.
Then once Sue arrived we took a picture of the 4 of us.
There was a great turnout and we had a great time.

Move to Clarksville
Friday, November 1, 2019 - Clarksville, TN
Last night we disconnected our water hose because of the anticipated cold temperature. It got down to 27 and we had a very heavy frost.
Even the puddle next to the site had a thin layer of ice on it.
The original plan was to leave Elberfeld on Sunday after, but work called to let me know the meeting we had trying to schedule during all of the weeks I was in the area was finally going to happen next week. So we decided to head for Clarksville today, then tomorrow we will head back north and return to Clarksville on Wednesday. :)
My bike did not fair well on this trip. We are not real sure what it rubbed against, but the fender now has a big scratch. I wonder if they have touch up paint.
We will be at Clarksville RV park for the next couple of weeks. Well at least the rig will be here. :)

Flying Carpet
Thursday, October 31, 2019 - Elberfeld, IN
It was a cold and blustery kind of day today. While walking Gracie we noticed something strange about the tree across the way. Once we got over there we realized it was an area rug in the tree. We looked around and figured out it had to be from the RV just down the way from us. It was easily 10 to 12 feet up in the tree and 50 yards away from them. And there was no way we were going to be able to get it down without a ladder. The rug was on it's edge wedged in the branches up in the tree. (Unfortunately I did not get a picture of it.)
The people were not home at the time, but when we left to run into town they were home and we stopped to let them know where their rug was. They said when they got home they looked all over for the rug, but never thought to look that far away and up in a tree. :)

Temperature Falling
Tuesday, October 29, 2019 - Elberfeld, IN
The temperatures are starting to fall. We have been very lucky it has been a warm fall, but our luck is running out. By the end of the week it will be well below freezing. Gracie thinks the ground is already too cold to lay on. :)
Today is also the only day we are supposed to see the sun, so we decided if I was going to finally ride my new bike, then we better go. We rode for about 6 or 7 miles.
While we were out riding we did see an opossum. And he was right next to the road.
I really like my new bike!

Taproom
Friday, October 25, 2019 - Indianapolis, IN
The taproom at George's was once again open and Mike and I headed over there. While I was there I got George and Mary Ann's pictures for the calendar.
We went to dinner with George & Mary Ann, Alice & Brian, Patsy, and Dad to Red Key Tavern. We had a very nice time.
