Happy Birthday Tony!
Today we had reservations to rent some kayaks. We got them loaded on top of Suburban and Jess & Mike J's Edge. When we made it to the put in spot Mike and Jess took the Edge to the take out spot.
Once they returned we were on our way! The first part of the river had some small rapids. There was a real shallow part near the beginning that I got hung up on. Alex found that very amusing. :)
Avander rode with Jess.
Everyone made it through the the only "big" rapid we had, except Mike. He said he did not want to hit me since Alex was in the kayak with me.
Ami was with Mike J.
Tony had our cooler raft in tow. He said it was not as easy to tow as it looks.
Eventually we made to our lunch spot. Mike J had a hard time getting stopped, but soon we are all parked and ready to eat lunch.
We brought lunchables and a few snacks. It was a nice lunch, then the big boys decided it was time to play in the rapids.
Soon we were back on our way. The second half of the ride was more like a lazy river or lake. The water was crystal clear. It was a nice ride.
It took us a lot longer to go the entire ride than we thought it would, but we finally made it to the end.
Mike and Jess went and got the Suburban. We packed everything up, then headed back to the rental place. They were already closed for the day, but we had an after hours number to call to let them know we had dropped off all of the kayak. We all agreed it was a wonderful day, but we enjoyed the first part of the river a lot more than the second part. :)
It was late and we were tired and hungry, so we went out to dinner for some pizza.
It was another wonderful day!
