Thursday, October 4, 2018 - Valparaiso, IN

After numerous delays today we finally picked up our truck and trailer and they look great!!!

The truck was just painted, but the trailer we had painted, a new refrigerator, new flooring, new awning, new slide toppers, new recliners and a few needed repairs.  It is like having an all new home.  :)

It was another wonderful day!

Saturday, October 6, 2018 - Grovertown, IN

E-Z Kamp was having their Halloween party today, so we went and got the kids some Halloween costumes.

Unfortunately it rained all day, but they had everyone come to the pavilion and the kids just went through the line.

The kids had fun and got a lot of candy!

It was another wonderful day!

Friday, October 12, 2018 - Mount Vernon, IL

I did not take pictures of our site the day we arrived at E-Z Kamp, but I did take them before we left.  And yes, it was raining.

It is a nice campground.  I would have to say the worst part is that it is right on US 30, which is noisy.

Saturday, October 13, 2018 - Mount Vernon, IL

Last night we had dinner with Jess, Alex, Avander, Ami, Tony and Miranda.  We had a really nice time!  Today we started the drive south.  As we were headed down I-57 Mike let me know the truck was not running right, so we pulled over.  Since it was getting later in the afternoon I started looking for campgrounds in the area.  We ended up staying at Archway RV in Mount Vernon, IL.  After we dropped off the trailer Mike took the truck over to the truck stop next door.  They did not have a mechanic available, but will be able to look at it in the morning.

It was another wonderful day!

Sunday, October 14, 2018 - Mount Vernon, IL

The truck was not fixed today, so we will be staying another night in Mount Vernon.  The owners of the RV park are very nice and the park is not very bad, but we were hoping to be on the road again.

Monday, October 15, 2018 - Mount Vernon, IL

Well they were unable to figure out what was wrong with the truck, so we took it an authorized Volvo dealer just down the street.  They figured out what the problem was, but did not have the part.  The nearest place that had the part was in Collinsville, IL and they would not be getting it until tomorrow afternoon.  After they said we could pick it up tonight for them we headed out.  It was a little over 1 hour drive away.

The sunset this evening was beautiful.

On the way home we stopped at Lotawata Creek for dinner.  It was very good.

Tuesday, October 16, 2018 - Forest City, AR

They had the truck done around 10am and as soon as we had it picked up we started packing up to head out.  I did remember to take a picture of our site.

It was a nice site.

It was just a small part that was causing the problem with the truck.  It is the shiny part in the middle of the picture.

We made it to Forest City, AR and stayed at Delta Ridge RV Park.

It was another wonderful day!


Wednesday, October 17, 2018 - Tyler, TX

I did not take any pictures at the campground in Forest City, AR.  We were on the road early.  We made it to Tyler, TX where we stopped at We RV Champions of Tyler.  I think someone really liked Queen.  :)  The drive for the sites were very narrow and Mike was not able to get the trailer in the drive.  By the time I noticed, the trailer was deep in the mud.  He tried to back up, but that was causing more problems.  After talking to the owner Mike ended up just pulling forward fast so it would pop back up on the drive.  What a mess; and I was very nervous as he was doing it.  The trailer made it, but there end up being some damage to the landscape timbers and big ruts in the yard.

They were nice long and level sites.  But with all of the rain they have been having it was really muddy.  While we were here we did help pull a bus/motorhome out of it's site and he was really stuck.  We were glad we had our straps.  :)

Thursday, October 18, 2018 - Kingsville, TX

I had looked up a campsite for tonight, but when we got about 45 minutes away we were stopped for lunch and decided to drive further.  We ended up staying at County Estates RV Park in Kingsville, TX.  It is only rated with 3.6 stars and we can see why.  The sites were not level and there were a lot of permanent people.

When we arrived the gentleman that checked us in asked me if Mike was my driver...  "Yes, my driver with benefits."  LOL   I let him sleep with me.  :)

It was another wonderful day!

Friday, October 19, 2018 - Mission, TX

We were only about 2.5 hours away from Mission and we arrived just before noon.   We were all set up and pictures taken by 12:30.  :)

These are very nice sites and very level.  We will be here until June 2019.

It was a full moon tonight.  Watching it come over the trees is not same as watching it come up over the mountains in Arizona.  :)

Today we went to the Veteran's Memorial Park in McAllen, TX.  It was a very nice park.

It was very hot, so we did not stay long enough to see the entire park.  We are hoping to come back another day.

The RV park had pumpkin carving at the club house today.

It was a lot of fun and we were able to meet some of the people that are here at the park.
