Sturgeon Moon

Monday, August 7, 2017 - Amado, AZ

Well it is once again time to show off our full moon pictures.  :)  Tonight's moon is the Sturgeon Moon.

According to the Farmer's Almanac some Native American tribes knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this full Moon. Others called it the Green Corn Moon.

Here are the pictures of the moon as it rises over the mountain.

This is our selfie with the moon in the background.  :)
And now the moon is well up into the sky!  Isn't it awesome?  :)

It was another wonderful day!
