Fort Davis National Historic Site

Sunday, January 19, 2020 - Alpine, TX

Angel and Norma picked us up at the campground and we headed for the Fort Davis National Historic Site.
We learned a lot more about the Buffalo Soldiers.

Then we went over to officer's row to see how what the officer's quarters looked like.

As we were reading the information about several of the soldier that lived here at the Fort, I saw George Bentley.

And thought how much it looked like Bob Bentley, a friend of ours.  What do you think?
After touring around Fort Davis we went into town and and had lunch at Cueva De Leon.
Lunch was very good and we had a nice time catching up more.  :)

After lunch we walked around downtown Fort Davis a little.  This is the library.
Eventually we headed back to Alpine.  Norma and Angel dropped us off at the RV park and headed back to the hotel to relax and freshen up before we met them at Guzzi Up for dinner.
Norma and Angel will be headed back to El Paso tomorrow.  We have had a wonderful time seeing them and hope to see them one more time before we leave the area.

It was another wonderful day!
