Big Annoucement

Monday, May 23, 2016 - Michigan City, IN

This evening Standard Motor Products made an announcement that they are buying a portion of General Cable.  What does this mean to us..well just before we came up here Mike called SMP to ask if they had any project work for him to work on while we were in the area.  Thinking he could work there while we were in Northern Indiana.  Rob decided this would be a good time to ask Mike if he would be interested in  being the "boots on the ground" guy down in Nogales Mexico to oversee the project at the General Cable plant.  It will be a 6 month to 1 year project.

Mike and I had several discussions about it and finally decided that the offer was just to good to pass up.  So on Monday, May 30th Mike will be flying down to Nogales, AZ to start working on the project.  He will be down there for most of the month of June.  The weekend of June 11th I will be flying down there so we can check out a couple of campgrounds.  I am hoping we can find a place that is nice and has good internet.  :)

Mike will be flying back up on the Friday before the 4th of July to help me pack up the rig and start our journey across the country to Seattle, WA.  I will stay there for the month of August.  Then Mike will fly back up to Seattle and we will move our home down to Arizona until some time in 2017.

We were originally thinking we might spend the winter in Arizona, but this is a little longer.  But we will have plenty of time to check out a lot of the area down there.  :)
