Cook Out

Saturday, May 28, 2016 - Michigan City, IN

The plan for this morning was to go to the license branch to get our new licenses with our new address on them, but they are closed today in observation of Memorial Day.  They are normally closed on Monday's, so they closed today instead.  Mike will need to get his license renewed when he gets back to Indiana next time.

After leaving the license branch we headed over to Bass Pro Shop, so Mike could buy a couple pair of 5.11 pants for work.  He got rid of all of his Dockers when we went on the road a couple of years ago and he did not really have anything to work in.  We ended up getting him 5 pair of pants.  He also needed some steel toed boots.  Those he bought on-line, but is having them shipped to Nogales, AZ to the hotel he will be staying at.  He has blown his clothing allowance for the year.  :)

Eventually we made our way over to Tony's for a cook out.  Holly got there around 4:00pm.  We cooked pork loin out on the grill and it was fantastic.  While we waited for the meat to cook we played out on the new trampoline Tony got.  It has been a very long time since I last played on a trampoline and it was a lot of fun.  :)

After dinner we had a water balloon fight.  The balloons they bought were these rapid fill water balloons.  They were super cool.  You just hook the attachment up to the hose and fill 40 balloons all at once.  In no time at all you have lots of balloons filled and you are ready for the balloon fight.  By the time it was over we were all soaked.  :)

Fortunately I was able to borrow a t-shirt and shorts from Jess while I dried my clothes in the dryer.  :)

Once my clothes were dry we headed over to the playground at the school over on the next road to play for a little while.  Before long Ami was getting very cranky because she was very tired.  I was right there with her.  When we got back the playground Mike and I headed home.

It was another wonderful day!
