10, 2016 – Amado, AZ
Mike had an office Christmas party last night and did not
get home until after 1:00am, so he slept in this morning. Once we were up we took Gracie for her
morning walk, then headed for the Greyhound Room for breakfast. The Greyhound Room is part of the activity
center here at the RV Park. We found out
that back in the ‘80’s this used to a dog race track.
Now we needed to get busy moving the rig to site 113. We were on site 102, but they sold a park
model and that is the site the owner chose.
So we pack things up in the rig just enough to get the slides in and not
have things fall off the counter. It was
nice the truck fired right up without any problems. :)
I wanted to take the Can Am out for a ride today. I was thinking Mike would be riding his dirt
bike and I would be riding the Can Am, but as we were moving our stuff Mike
moved the dirt bike and it started leaking fuel. Something he will have to fix later. So we both hoped in the Can Am along with
Gracie and went for a ride. We ended up
going to Agua Caliente Canyon. The view
from the end of the trail was awesome. This was trail 183. Almost all of the trails are numbered.
It was a really nice ride, but it was hard to take Gracie and I don't think she really liked it. :) Also we are going to need to buy a shorter windshield. The heat of the engine sure does make the inside of the ATV hot.
When we got back we headed back over to the activity center
for happy hour. They have margaritas for
free for all campers every Saturday evening. :) We sat down with TJ and his wife (we can’t
remember her name) and had a wonderful conversation. When happy hour was over we went inside to
have dinner. TJ’s wife ended up going
home. She had too much to drink and was
ready to call it a night. :)
It was another wonderful day.
