Victoria Canada

Friday, September 2, 2016 - Gig Harbor, WA

We were up very early this morning.  We needed to be in Port Angeles, WA by 7:30am, which is about a 2 hour drive from Gig Harbor, to catch the ferry to Victoria Canada.  We made in plenty of time.  And of course it is raining.  We were hoping it would quit once we got to Canada.

While we were waiting we went inside the building to check it out.

This was a tower clock inside the building.  Kind of a cool old clock.
Soon the ferry arrived.

And we drove on.  All of the cars and trucks are parked in the lower level.  You cannot stay with your car while riding.

And we were off.
We took our seats in the cafeteria area and had some breakfast.

When we arrived the weather had cleared up and it ended up being a beautiful day.  Once in Victoria Canada we headed right for the Butchart Gardens.  We heard from many people this is a must see in Victoria and they were right!
They did have wheelchairs available for us to rent for Mom and Dad, so they would not have to do any walking.  :)
Pushing them up a couple of the hills was a little hard to do, but we were just glad they were able to join us.  :)

The gardens were beautiful!

We also saw several wild animals.

And Kim found a horse.
There were a couple of fountains.

And lots more beautiful flowers.

We had a wonderful lunch at the restaurant there at the gardens.

Soon it was time to head back to the port to catch the ferry back to Port Angeles.  We arrived a little early, so we went across the street to a bar and grill and had a couple of drinks.
This is a building that was across the way from the port and I thought it really looked cool, so I took a picture of it.
It was a very late night, but we made it back safe and sound.

It was another wonderful day!
