Sunday, September 4, 2016 - Gig Harbor, WA
After Mass we ate breakfast at the Gig Harbor Inn. Everyone checked out. Since their flight out tomorrow is so early they will be staying at a hotel near the airport tonight. Then we headed for downtown Seattle. Jess, Mike J and the kids took the ferry over and met us there.
I was sure there would be a place down here to rent scooters or wheelchairs for my Mom and Dad, but unfortunately they are not open on Sunday's. :( But it was a beautiful day to sit out in the sun.
Patsy, Sue, John and Kim headed into the market place while the rest of us enjoyed the sunshine. I needed to head to the airport to pick up Tony and Miranda. Tomorrow the 3 of us will start the journey to Arizona. It is hard to believe I have been here for a month. It has been wonderful, but I am looking forward to being with Mike again. :)
When I got back from the airport we found everyone still out enjoying the sunshine.
We waited for the rest of the group to return from the market place, then they said their "Good-bye"'s to Jess, Mike J and the kids and we headed for the Space Needle for dinner.
Once seated we were able to enjoy the magnificent views. Unfortunately Mt Rainier was still covered by clouds, but fortunately it was beautiful out!
We were not able to sit altogether, but I still found everyone to get a picture.
The food and service were good, but I am sure you are paying more for the experience. :)
It was a fun filled weekend and we had a wonderful time, but it was finally time to drop Mom, Dad, Patsy, Sue, John and Kim off at their hotel and say our "Good-bye"'s.
When Tony and Miranda were here at the end of July Jess and Mike J did not have their apartment yet, so they did not get to see. So we drove up to Silverdale for a quick visit before saying our "Good-bye"'s again.
It was another wonderful day!
